"Whatever Happens, Just Remember To Put One Foot In Front Of The Other"

All photos are mine. Please ask/ give credit if reposting.

When Katy Perry brought her California Dreams tour over to the UK in 2011, I missed out on tickets. When she added new dates, I missed out again.
I brought her DVD and was insanely jealous of anyone who got to see the tour in person.

On Wednesday, I finally got to see her live at London's O2 Arena for her Prismatic tour.
My hopes were high. And she did not disappoint.

Her vocals were on point. Production was crazy, and her outfits were perfect.
It probably sounds biased coming from me since this woman is literally my Queen (not joking) but I've never been to a show like this before. Sure, I've been to plenty of concerts over the years, and many have had a big stage set up. But nothing on this level.

She had gladiators with neon mohawks, a giant cat play area, floating emojis, a garden and a MASSIVE birthday cake. She dressed up as cat (hence play area), danced around in an inflatable car, covered Madonna's Vogue, and floated around the whole arena with balloons (see below)

I had standing tickets and managed to get third row. Everything was perfect.
The whole venue was filled with love and happiness. I danced my socks off and sung my heart out.

I've seen alot of people bashing on her recently and that kind of upsets me. She clearly had a lot of fun creating a magical show filled with weirdness and I for one, completely love her for it.

Sunday Thoughts.

Photo from my Instagram.

I spent the whole day at the beach today. It was absolutely lovely.
Saw someone I haven't seen in about 2/3 years. We used to be basically best friends, we kind of dated for a few months as well, but after we left school we kind of drifted apart due to not really seeing each other. Now it's weird seeing him and talking to him.
I think it's really sad when that happens.
He starts university in September and I hope I'll be able to see him some more over summer before he moves away.
We used to be so weird and goofy whenever we hung out. Because we could. Because we just didn't care.
I don't think I've ever had a relationship like that with anyone else.
Hopefully we can gain some form of friendship back. I think I'd like that.
Plus I think I need a dose of goofy-ness in my life.

Aussie Bands Take Over!

For some reason, over the last few weeks, Aussie bands have taken over my twitter. A few have recently followed me and sent me sweet little messages asking to check out their music -which I politely did so. And a couple have been spoken about via people I follow on there.
One of them is Forever Ends Here.

The first song I heard by these Sydney locals was Yours Sincerely, I Believed I then checked out their other songs, downloaded their EP, and completely fell in love with them. I've basically had them on repeat for about a month now.
The band -which consists of brothers Luke (Vocals/Guitar) and Kane (Drums) and their best friends Jackson (Guitar) and Mav (Bass)- have clearly been inspired by one of my favourites, All Time Low. However, they've definitely put their own spin on the pop-punk genre. Luke has a really unique voice and I'm sure you'll find yourself falling in love with these Aussie lads.

Also I'm halfway through a drawing of these guys which you'll be able to see on my Instagram.

For Fans Of: All Time Low, Tonight Alive, You Me At Six.
Personal Favourites: "Yours Sincerely, I Believed" "100 Times Over" "Somewhere Somehow" "Here's To The Night" "Starships (Cover"

I think I discovered these guys through another Australian band that I listen to.
The Adelaide quartet also play pop-punk and have also been inspired by the likes of All Time Low, Blink 182 and Tonight Alive, much like Forever Ends Here.
Also like FEH, Day Break have put their own little spin on the pop-punk style. They make me want to dance around and sing really loud (rhyming not intentional)
Marcus (lead singer/guitarist), Vis (Guitar), Nic (Drums) and Jaxon (Bass) have already toured with the likes of  Tonight Alive, With Confidence and the boys from FEH. They regularly update their YouTube channel with orginal songs and covers by The  Summer Set, All Time Low, Hot Chelle Rae and others.

They make me happy and I highly suggest you listen to them.

For Fans Of: 5 Seconds of Summer, All Time Low, The Summer Set.
Personal Favourites: "Dear Amelia" "Not Another Teenage Melodrama" "Fallen For You"

Hope you all enjoyed a bit of Australian-ness (is that even a word)
Hopefully one day these two will make it over onto British land.

What do think of the Australian music scene?

Fire & Ice.

On Wednesday, I was asked by my friend Lucy to help her with her college course.
She does a beauty course and needed a model to dress and do hair and make up on. The theme was fire and ice (obviously she chose fire) The models then had to do a little catwalk infront of 4 judges who would then pick a winner.

This is the first time I've ever done anything like this and i can't even begin to tell you how nervous and scared I was. But I had a lot of fun being made up and even walking the mini catwalk was so much fun considering that was what I was most worried about.

Lucy didn't win, but I think she did a fantastic job on my hair and make up. I'm so happy she's doing something that she loves!

Much love.
