I don't know why, but that quote got me.

This week I found my old blog from when I was about 14-16.
I don't know, it's kind of funny reading through it all.
I used to write what I was listening to at the time of writing it (might start that again) and they used to be really short, but it was updated every few days.
I won't post the link because the blogs now private but it is kind of interesting looking at my 15 year old self from a 20 year olds perspective.

Anyway, the one of blogs is just a quote from Dirk Mai. "I don't think everyone sees things the way I see them. Look a little deeper. There's more to it. I promise."

I remember writing that post. I gave it the same title as this one. That quote hit me hard.
The post was written exactly 5 years to this day. Creepy huh? or just a concidence?
I don't know. But it hit me just hard today as it did half a decade ago.
Jeez. Half a decade. That sounds so long!!!

Reading over that old blog reminds how much I used to enjoy blogging. I had no idea how many people were reading my posts -it had no hit meter- but that didn't seem to matter. I liked having somewhere to talk about my day and things that I was enjoying.
Recently, it's been harder for me to write on here. You may have noticed due to my lack of posts. But I like how I used to write and not care if anyone was reading. I know there are some because there's a hit counter. And that's lovely. But I'm going to try and start writing more. Even if it's just to say my week at work was great.

Oh, and I'm going to start with the "Currently listening to" again if thats alright.

Sun & Surf.

If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter you may have knwon that I went away last week.
Yep, I went back to one of my favourite places, NEWQUAY!

The last time I went was summer 2012, with my cousin Jodie, for Boardmasters festival. Unfortunately, we couldn't go last year, nor will we be attending the festival this summer. Which upsets me very much.
However, me and my mum decided to go for a few days before the schools break up and Cornwall becomes packed.

We didn't stay in Newquay everyday. We did a fair bit of travelling. Driving to Truro, St. Ives, Boscastle and Perranporth amongst others.
I did a ton of skating. The roads are better there than they are in my hometown, and it seems to be more acceptable since pretty much everyone does it. You literally can't even walk around the towns without seeing some form of skater/ board.

We also tried surfing for the first time. It was a lot of fun and I definitely can't wait to try it again. We even met some people that lived very near our town.
There is a photo but I won't post it as it includes people I don't know and I'm not sure they want their faces posted on some blog.

I had a lot of fun and met some really great people who I'm not sure I'll ever see again. But it was lovely knowing them for a couple of hours.

If you've never been to Newquay, well it's like a completely different world. It's not even like the rest of the UK. It holds a ton of really great memories for me. And I love it there. A lot.

And now I'm genuinely considering moving there and just becoming a total surf/skate rat.
